Duesenberg Alliance Series Mike Campbell 40th Anniversary Starplayer

In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of "Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers" Duesenberg created a special metallic Racing Green edition of the Alliance Series Mike Campbell. It proudly wears an all-over finish and is fitted with a special nickel plated pickguard showing the 40th Anniversary logo of "The Heartbreakers".

When Mike Campbell played his Starplayer TV during the 2008 Super Bowl halftime break show with "Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers", it immediately became a milestone for Duesenberg history and an icon around the world. The Alliance Series Mike Campbell is based on our versatile Starplayer TV design. The entire instrument is finished in metallic light blue with added white twinstripes on top. The pickguard shows Mike’s signature.

All Editions come with Duesenbergs own premium pickups. The blue and green versions are fitted with our acclaimed set of pickups that combines the sharp tone of a bridge humbucker with the warmth of a P90 in the neck position. The red all-hollow version features two P90 pickups for a pure and raw hollow tone.

Just like all Duesenberg instruments, the Alliance Mike Campbell receives our elaborate Plek treatment. A pleked fretboard guarantees perfectly level frets. This is the basis for our fret polishing and setup work all done by hand that eventually makes Duesenberg instruments play like nothing you have ever played before.
